In October 2024, following Central 1’s announcement to wind down its digital banking business, concerned representatives from credit unions and system organizations – Community-Based Credit Unions Future Committee (CFC), National Consulting Limited (NCL), and Stabilization Central Credit Union – came together with 50 Credit Unions to form the National Digital Banking Working Group (NDBWG) to discuss the impacts and brainstorm on ways we might work together to overcome this challenge.
The NDBWG evaluated digital banking vendors in the market, compiled a short list and in the end recommended Intellect’s Digital Engagement Platform(DEP). They then collectively negotiation a contract and developed a migration plan.
NCL is now taking on the next phase of work: executing a Pilot, Factory Pilot and Implementation Program to successfully migrate all participating Credit Unions to their chosen Digital Banking Platform. NCL will be the centre of expertise, create implementation tools & training and provide each credit union with the level of support they need to successfully migrate their Digital Banking.
